"Deer Project" is an art project developed by artist Beth Barlow. The project takes the humble wooden deer often found in grandparents houses and now more often seen roaming charity shops and blings them. The aim is to take an unfashionable item and make it even more tacky. The blinged deers are then part of a series of ongoing actions which look at the way objects are marketed and branded. This blog notes the current and past actions the deers have been involved in, either led by Beth Barlow as a lone artist, community based groups or other artists. The blog also gives you the info you need to start to generate your own deer projects. If you do create a project it would be great to know how you get on.
